Erasmus Days 2023

Are you ready to start your Erasmus adventure soon, or simply curious, eager for European culinary and cinematographic discoveries?

The Education Office of Spanish Embassy in the Czech Republic, the DAAD Information Point in Prague (Germany), the Polish Institute, the Campus France Office and the Greek and the Irish Embassies in the Czech Republic organize their common event "Ochutnej Erasmus!" on October 11 between 5:00 pm and 10:30 pm at Kino 35 (Institut Français de Prague - Prague 1).

To celebrate the Erasmus Days, we propose the screening of 2 movies that touch upon the subject of European mobility. In between the movies, you will get to taste some refreshments from the 6 organizing countries and hear about the experiences of Czech students who participated in the Erasmus + programme during a round table. You will also have the opportunity to learn about studies abroad on our information stands and enjoy our photo booth!


The entrance is free of charge and the catering is offered to all participants.

Programme

  • 17:00: Opening of the information stands and photo booth
     
  • 17:30-18:45: Movie 1 - Citizen Europe (FR, GR, BG, IE, EN | English subtitles | 2019)

Documentary movie – “Citizen Europe captures the lives of five Erasmus participants who work, study or volunteer across Europe.The film’s young characters leave their hometown for the first time, to prove they can survive in a foreign environment. From France, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Ethiopia to Lithuania, Finland, Greece and Ireland, they must adapt to different cultures and mentalities.”

  • 19:30-20:15: Food tasting from our 6 countries / Information stands / Photo booth
     
  • 20:15-22:30: Movie 2 - Measuring the world (German, English subtitles | 2012 )

Two of the greatest thinkers of the 19th century, mathematician Carl Friederich Gauss and scientist Alexander von Humboldt, dedicate their studies to measuring and understanding the world in which they live. This visually spectacular film aims to present the lives of two great men nevertheless searching for the same answers, one staying at one place, the second one traveling around the world.
